The heat in Delhi has just been too much to take especially for someone who has just moved to Delhi from Mumbai.! We at least have the cool sea breeze in Mumbai. Unfortunately none of that happens here. Interacting with the Delhites I learnt it wasnt always this hot in Delhi. But over the years there has been a rise in the overall temperature of the city. In fact global temperature has risen by 1 degree in the past 60 years. And although 1 degree may appear like a small fraction we all have witnessed inclement climatic changes in Nature.

Indian cities are on a road to rapid urbanization. Cities are witnessing migration at its peak due to rise in economies. There is an urgent need to accommodate the migrants.
